~ The Performance ~

These two young girls were seen waiting patiently behind the curtains for their big debut. Nerves abound but once they hit the stage their legs will take over and the smiles will shine!

I have tried to capture the feeling of companionship enveloped in yards of tulle and satin with soft shades of pink.

With Halloween quickly approaching I've been inspired to do some paintings with a "spookier" theme.

This particular one incorporates something that I have been painting a lot of this past month....fairies!

What is it about the woods at night? Why are we scared to enter into the darkness? Do we hear whispers? Or is it the creaking or moaning of the trees in the wind?

This fairy floats gracefully out of the mist...enveloped by tiny orbs....lighting her way. Are they fireflies...or something more sinister?
